A two-vehicle crash into a Kansas City day care center this afternoon injured three children. The Kansas City Star reported that two of the children were pinned under a vehicle.
Thanks to Helen Sullivan, APR, Fellow PRSA, the International Parking Institute's communications counsel, for the heads-up and link to the CNN video.
No details yet about any charges or investigation results, as it's still an active scene as I click the 'publish' button on SFC. This accident, coincidentally, occurred around the same time today when I was on the phone with Storefront Safety Council co-founder Rob Reiter talking about vehicle-into-building crashes generally being a threat to child safety — not only at day care centers. Very weird timing. More on this topic in the near future.
