Many of the 10 people hurt August 25 when a minivan driver had a seizure and crashed into Classic Styles beauty salon in Kingston, Tenn., remain in the hospital. The terrible accident is drawing significant media attention—and the Kingston community is reaching out to support the victims.
CNN picked up the story this morning. (Thanks to Jeanine Pranses in Pennsylvania for the heads-up!) Kingston area TV station WATE has also covered the tragedy in depth (video).
WATE reports that Mary Humphreys, owner of nearby Unique Connections Salon, is preparing to help employees from the damaged salon by providing them workspace in her shop (video). The report says the Classic Styles building might be a total loss.
Kingston is a town of about 5,300 people in the Knoxville region.
